If you're a first time visitor, I highly encourage you to click here to learn more about this site in order for you to get the VERY BEST VALUE out of it. Thank you for visiting!
Whatever it is you want to do - learn a new instrument, get into a new career, try a new hobby, there’s always going to be a gap that you have to bridge in order to succeed.
Every venture has its own obstacle course to separate the herd. After all, if it’s too easy to do to the point where everyone can do it, nothing would be valued.
We all inherently know that on some level.
So since everything has a gap, instead of feeling helpless and throwing your hands up in the air about it, how can you bridge that gap?
There are many ways but first and foremost it is simply this.
Choose something that you naturally want to do.
In other words, something that you want to do based on an internal drive you have.
Without it, you will have to rely on pure, sheer, physical energy to sustain yourself during the journey of bridging that gap and that can eventually wear you out and leave you exhausted.
Make it easy on yourself
Choose your battles wisely.
Listen to yourself, to see if you have that inner drive within you, that fire in your belly you can rely on to give you the energy to bridge the gap.
Don’t waste it on “phases” where you become inspired by an outside source but realize that deep down inside, it’s not something you really want to do.
Now along with that, it wouldn’t help to focus on physical energy as well. Eating right, exercising, getting plenty of sleep, all that can go a long way to amplifying your internal drive to help you do all the work you need to do to bridge the gap.
Specialized knowledge in the form of books, mentors, and other people who have been through the gap and have successfully bridged it are other invaluable resources you can use to bridge the gap. Those resources can steer you clear of all the traps you don’t have to fall for so by all means take advantage of them. They can even help you by giving you some shortcuts as well.
Reflect on your journey of bridging the gap to see what you did to make good progress. Maybe you noticed you do better if you work on it a certain time of the day or you learn more effectively by using a certain strategy, but whatever it is, use it.
If you know all this, it becomes easier because you can wisely pick the ventures in which you know you can bridge the gap and you can surround yourself with all the tools and strategies necessary to help bridge that gap more quickly and effectively.
The gap is there to thin the ranks.
The first separation usually occurs to split out the people who don’t have the natural drive and the ones who do.
Now, of those who have the natural drive, that group can only go so long without seeing tangible results.
Without seeing good results and progress made, that can put out the fire of their internal drive.
You get good results and you see progress being made when you get the specialized knowledge you need, take action on it, get advice from other people who have bridged the gap, look to see what is being effective for you personally to do more of that etc., and all that starts to come together to help you bridge the gap.
The gap will always be there, no matter what you do.
The question is, do you have the natural drive to bridge that gap and are you willing to use all the resources available around you to make it easier to do?
