If you're a first time visitor, I highly encourage you to click here to learn more about this site in order for you to get the VERY BEST VALUE out of it. Thank you for visiting!
I usuallly like to point out interesting links during the weekend so I’d thought I’d share a cool article I found that contains a series of interviews done with 14 of the 500 Richest Americans at Forbes.com
They were all each asked a series of 20 questions.Â
They all had different answers except for TWO of the questions.
What were those questions?
4. How often do you exercise?
6. How many hours a day do you read?
I’m guessing you can guess what those two habits are.Â
Exercising and reading.
Let’s see what their responses were for each question.
4. How often do you exercise?
“Six days a week.” - Arthur Blank
“I try to do five times a week. Gauntlet, weights, basketball. ” - Mark Cuban
“I’ve always been active and physically fit, but I just started working out at age 65.” - Kenneth Hendricks
“I exercise three to five times per week.” - Michael Ilitch
“Tennis four times a week and trainer three times a week, when I am in town.” - Jorge PerezÂ
“Every day.” - Tim Blixseth
“Five times a week.” - Gerald Ford.
“Three times a week.” - Wayne Huizenga
“Try to every day.” - William Moncrief
“Daily.” - Franklin Otis Booth Jr.
“Three to five times a week. Playing pick-up basketball, weightlifting, elliptical machine.” - Danny Gilbert
“Three to four times per week.” - George Kaiser
“Three times a week.” - Phillip Ruffin
“At 85, every day I still do 90 push-ups and jog one mile.” - James Sorenson
If you ever need a kick in the pants to start exercising, that last quote there should do the trick.Â
6. How many hours a day do you read?
“Two.” - Arthur Blank
“Including Web sites, e-mails, etc.? Six hours or more.” - Mark Cuban
“One to two hours a day.” - Kenneth Hendricks
“I read for at least an hour a day and oftentimes more!” - Michael Ilitech
“About two hours per day of non-business reading.” - Jorge Perez
“I only read documents associated to business, about four hours a day.” - Tim Blixseth
“Two.” - Gerald Ford
“Approximately two hours.” - Wayne Huizenga
“At least two hours a day.” - William Moncrief
“On average, I read three to four hours.” - James Sorenson
“Three hours.” - Franklin Otis Booth Jr.
“One to two.” - Danny Gilbert
“Books alone, far less than I would like–less than one hour per day. Newspapers, periodicals, business materials, the flickering screen, etc.–far more than I would like. Eight-plus hours per day.” - George Kaiser
“Two hours.” -Â Phillip Ruffin
It makes sense doesn’t it? You exercise more, you get more energy, you won’t get sick, you’ll get more things done, etc. You read more, you have more information to apply. Knowledge is power. More knowledge, more power. Maximize both exercising and reading into your daily lives and it’s no wonder why they are the richest men in America.
Bottom line, make a habit of giving your mind and body a workout and you’ll find that those habits will help you achieve whatever goals you set for yourself, no matter how big they may seem.
