The idea that we slowly become like those who we frequently associate with is rock solid. It cannot be challenged. It is law. Why is that so?

There are many theories as to why this is, but truth be told, it doesn’t really matter. Time should not be wasted trying to understand the logic behind it, unless you are really, really curious and have a lot of time on your hands.

For example, you know if you punch in 10 digits on your cell phone and hit send, you know you will make a call. Do you really want to get into the nitty gritty of understanding cell phone technology or do you just want to make a call?

We become like those who we frequently associate with period.

Because that is so, we MUST choose VERY carefully who we frequently associate with.

Kids in school who hanged with the gangs became gangsters. With the skaters, skaters. With the gamers, gamers. With the nerds, nerds.

There’s no use in fighting this law. We only need to leverage it in our favor to benefit from it.

If you want to become a positive, happy, goal oriented, motivated, passionate, determined, dream accomplishing individual, you’ve got to hang with happy, goal oriented, motivated, passionate, determined, dream accomplishing individuals.

Unfortunately, you will not find many of these people around you. Instead you’ll find negative, unhappy, lost, unmotivated, dreamless, quitters, who settle for mediocrity in life.

They claim “life isn’t fair”, that it’s bitter, hard, cold, unyielding, and that you shouldn’t go for your dreams, because you will get hurt and fail. It’s risky, they claim. They’ll plant seeds of doubt and fear in you in hopes of keeping you down with them in the trenches. But not you. NOT YOU.

You will tell them to back off. You will turn a deaf ear to their negative words. And slowly you will climb. Inch by inch out of the trenches until a hand grabs a hold of you and pulls you up to the world where dreams are reality.

So you must start to disassociate yourself with the people who have quit at life and seek out these people who want to live their dreams and habitually associate with them. You’ll find great things will happen then. History has proven that time and time again.

When Henry Ford instructed his engineers to build a V8 engine, the engineers said it couldn’t be done. Ford insisted anyway. The engineers went at it, but came back to Ford and told him it wasn’t possible. Ford insisted they get back to work. Back and forth they went until finally, the engineers were able to build Ford’s V8.

Where did Ford pick up that quality of dogged determination? Would it surprise you that he was a personal friend of Thomas Edison, you know, the guy who tried 10,000 times to make the light bulb? It didn’t surprise me one bit.

Perhaps one of the greatest examples of the power of the master mind was the drafting of the Declaration of Independence. Here, a group of men determined to live their dreams of becoming independent from Great Britain came together and effectively gave birth to one of the greatest nations on this planet and freedom to those within it. If that’s not an example of how powerful the master mind is, I don’t know what is.

Companies know of this great power and use it all the time. Millions of dollars have been saved and generated simply by a forming brainstorming or solve sessions. Products that you and I enjoy are the results of master mind sessions. We even had them when we were little at school in the form of group projects.

But you know what the funny thing is? When we “grow up”, we don’t take advantage of the master mind concept. We ignore it. Why would you deprive yourself of such great power and resource? It’s unfathomable!

Some of you might say: “I would like to, but there’s nobody here where I live to form a master mind group with. Everybody’s so negative.”

Well, in case you’ve lived in a cave the past decade, there’s a great invention that allows millions of people all over the globe to meet together in one place and share their ideas. Yes, the Internet.

You’re slowly getting my drift now. Well, where can I meet people online who want to form a master mind? Look no further.

This site naturally attracts readers who are goal oriented, who are into self improvement, who believe that dreams can happen. It also attracts readers who have already made their dreams happen, so there is a healthy balance of people asking questions and people answering them. That’s why I thought it would be perfect to set up a Master Mind Success Forum on this site.

By coming to this forum and posting questions, you’ll find plenty of advice and answers. Your knowledge will multiply exponentially. You’ll find resources and information that you never knew you would’ve found before. Each person who actively participates on this site brings a host of information, resources, and experiences that can greatly enrich the lives of others.

Up until now, I’ve been constantly referring to “The Power of the Master Mind”. Now I want to get into “The Exponential Power of the Master Mind”. Why exponential? Because we have something that Ford, Edison, Hill, Jefferson, etc, namely the people of the past did not have: The Internet.

The Internet is a phenomenal resource. It allows people from ALL over the world to come together in one location and easily allow the exchange of valuable information and connections. A Master Mind on the Internet is exponential because SO many people, each with their own wisdom, experience, and resources can come together and have literally a gold mine of information to feed off of.

I guarantee you that you will find a hard time finding a forum as beneficial as this one.

Sites dedicated to gardening attract people in gardening. They share their planting tips, soil tips, reviews of which plants to do, etc. As a result, people come away with more knowledge than before and they also give too.

Sites dedicated to bodybuilding attract people who wish to gain muscle or lose weight. When these people come together, they offer inspiration, motivation, solid advice, which REALLY helps. I’ve seen people post threads sincerely thanking the members of the board for pushing them, for encouraging them to never give up. That kind of support, even if it is given by a person millions of miles away is sometimes that “little push” that’s needed to fulfill the dream.

The power of many like minded people who gather together on a frequent basis cannot be measured. It is too powerful.

Let me share with you my vision for this Master Mind Success Forum.

Suppose John Smith has a dream of opening a barber shop and suppose that we have the power to see two different outcomes.

John Smith tells Group A(common negative people around his geographical location) of his dream to open a barber shop. They rib him good. They tell him there’s no money in it. That it’s too hard. They remind him of the statistics that 90% of businesses fail. His dream slowly deflates and he agrees. His dream has died.

John Smith tells Group B (positive, goal oriented people, but this time, with people all over the world) the same dream. They tell him to go for it. They give him advice on making a business plan, on getting a loan. He meets someone who has done it before and thus, finds a mentor. He reads inspirational stories of other people who have started their own business and succeeded, which drives him even more to succeed. He meets someone who knows someone else who is a wholesaler of barber goods, so he gets a discount on supplies, which helps him reinvest that money in marketing.

Look at all the different resources and information John Smith has because he associated with Group B. The dream of opening that barber shop seems much more easier now that he associates with Group B.

That’s the vision I have.
