Right now, you might be seeing a lot of make money online at home ads on this page. Pay no attention to them. That’s just Google Adsense doing its thing.

For those of you unaware of Google Adsense, what Google does is scan through the content in this article, figures out what the major themes are and matches up ads that correspond with it and displays it here.

So because I’m talking about make money from home online and scams, that’s pretty much the ads you’ll see here. I don’t really have much control over what ads get displayed. I can prevent ads from certain sites but because there are so many scam sites, it’s impossible to do.

Just ignore them.

I was thinking of what the December special offer should be and my problem was answered by an article I read online about how Google is suing the people behind those ads you see online about how so and so make thousands of dollars a week with Google.

Whenever I see those ads, it makes me rage because I know they’re just taking people’s money away.

Here’s how it works.

The ad claims you can make a ton of money with Google in your pajamas by posting links and if you buy their product, they’ll tell you all about it. What ends up happening is that they bill your credit card for a ton of money every month and it’s very hard to discontinue it. And when you actually find out what’s involved, you realize that you’ve been had.

Here’s what’s behind all the smoke and mirrors.

You fork up YOUR OWN MONEY to post Google Adword links on Google. These links are links that will take a person to a sales page or a subscription type page. Should the visitor buy a product or sign up for something, you will get a certain cut for each transaction.

Now obviously not everybody who clicks your ad is going to buy and every time someone clicks your ad, it costs you money. If you’re wondering what type of ads I’m talking about, just search for anything on Google and it’s the ads you see on the right and the top of the search results.

It’s a numbers game and here’s the thing. The more competition you have in terms of people posting ads on your product/service, the higher it costs you every time someone clicks your link. Competition in a niche drives the price of ads up.

Can this make money?

Yes, it did way back in the beginning of Internet marketing. Now that the cat’s been out of the bag for quite some time, there’s very little profit margins because competition has flooded in. I’ve seen this product packaged many different times in many different ways.

If you were fortunate enough to get in on it in the beginning, yes you could’ve made some good money but now, it’s pretty much saturated.

This doesn’t really work for the Average Joe because the Average Joe doesn’t have huge capital to spend on ads and has little to no experience in writing ads in the first place.

It’s a big learning curve and can cost you a lot of money.
