The Power of Active Faith - Think Deep

The Power of Active Faith

Faith is one of the most powerful ideas of all time. Aside from love, faith is probably the second most written about idea in the world.

But as we all know that faith alone isn’t enough.

Faith must be coupled with action and herein lays the trap that paralyzes so many.

How much faith do you need to take the action conducive to it?

When is your faith “full” enough for you to easily take action?

How do you know when it is full enough?

Most people feel their faith must be 100% for them to take action on it but that’s not the case. In fact, your faith CANNOT be made 100% WITHOUT taking action on it.

Here’s the secret.

Faith starts to get full when you take the first step in it.

That first step is what I like to call ACTIVE faith. No longer is it just in your head locked as potential, but now turned into its kinetic form – active faith.

It’s the quitting of the job.

It’s the asking out of the man/woman you’ve always fancied from afar.

It’s the starting of your dream business.

Stepping forward PHYSICALLY in real life based on faith – it will prove to be one of the MOST powerful moments in your life.

Because it’s the day you chose to stop riding the fence. The day you swung both legs over and jumped off, not knowing if the “ground” of faith will support you or not. To not be in limbo.

To FINALLY understand what it feels like to act on faith.

And while you might assume that the side of faith is full of anxiety and nervousness, it’s actually not. Those who know the power of active faith and have witnessed what it has done to their lives experience a unique peace of mind that’s not prevalent toward those who have not acted in faith.

But what kind of faith am I talking about here?

The faiths will differ but a popular one is this:

That it will all work out.

Logical people see this and it drives them nuts. How do you know if it will all work out they ask.

On what basis?

Just the basis of faith in that alone.

When you step out in faith, that action IN IT OF ITSELF will reinforce your faith in ways no mental means can.

We tend to have this paradigm model of “become a person full of faith and that person will take action based on it” but that paradigm has failed so many.

We forget that action reinforces the person as well.

The flow goes BOTH ways and perhaps in the beginning, action serves as a GREATER stimulus and builder of faith than we realize. Greater than just reading accounts of our faith to build our faith.

When we act, we strengthen our faith, which alters the way we see reality to find confirmation of our faith and that helps us take action once more based on it because we’re more confident in it and the cycle works in our favor.

Is that cheating?

Not really.

We are all filtering on some basis throughout our lives and through the filters, the ideas we have get strengthened and the actions based on those ideas get taken as well.

It’s through this, that faith starts to solidify as both sides of the fence start to reinforce one another.

You don’t have to take a LEAP of faith.

Take the first STEP of faith.

And experience the power of ACTIVE faith.

See how the action flows BACK to feed your faith.

And you will finally understand what the great books on faith have been talking about all this time.

That life changes for the better who take the steps to act on it.
